Raising Hope's Season 3 Premiere Is The First Full TV Episode Available Via Twitter

Fox has been pretty great in the past at making some of its comedy’s premiere episodes available to fans prior to the premiere’s official airing on television. This time around, Fox is giving Raising Hope the special treatment, and they are making the episode available via an interesting forum: Twitter.

Earlier on Friday, Raising Hope’s official Twitter page announced it was making Raising Hope’s Season 3 premiere, “ Not Indecent, But Not Quite Decent Enough Proposal” available to fans for viewing, effective immediately. The event is a pretty big deal—it’s the first time a full-episode of a TV program has aired via Twitter. Additionally, fans will be able to discuss the episode through the hashtag #ShareHope.

The episode follows the Chance family—including Lucas’ girlfriend Sabrina—as they meet Sabrina’s mother (guest star Melanie Griffith) for the first time. In usual fashion, this meeting occurs in a weird place, in this case, the funeral home. The episode starts with a surprisingly funny reminder of the unique problems the family has due to being poor, but ends on an awkward-yet-touching note. Even more surprising is the quality of the picture on Twitter, which had way more clarity to it than I guessed it would, at least when I viewed it via small screen, instead of the full window option.

The episode will be available until 11:59 p.m. on September 27. Or, if you want to wait to catch the show in HD glory, Raising Hope will premiere on Fox on Tuesday, October 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
