Spartacus Vengeance Full Trailer: Swords, Blood, Sex, And Sweet Vengeance
Last week at Comic-Con, Starz showed us an excellent extended trailer for the upcoming Spartacus: Vengeance. They’ve since posted an abridged version of it online, with the promise to share the whole thing on Friday night. Well, it’s Friday night and those of you who’ve been waiting all week to glimpse Lucy Lawless in all her glory can feast your eyes on this video...
I’ve seen this trailer and I assure you, it’s worth the wait. Hopefully, the same will be the case for Season 2 of Spartacus, which doesn’t premiere until January 2012. I also think it’s worth noting that the crowd at the panel went nuts when Lucy Lawless first appeared in the trailer (both times it was shown during the panel). In addition to Lucretia’s dramatic entrance, we also see Ilithyia numerous times in the video below. And of course, you'll get a good look at Liam McIntyre, who is taking over the role of Spartacus. As the trailer hints, swords, blood, sex, drama, and sweet vengeance await!
Judging by Ilithyia's reaction to Lucretia's entrance, she's either stunned to see her old friend in such a bedraggled state, or more likely, shocked that Lucretia's alive at all. The last time we saw Ilithyia, she was ordering her men to block the door, leaving those inside the villa (including Batiatus and Lucretia) at the mercy of a group of angry gladiator slaves. I'm expecting an awkward conversation between Lucretia and Ilithyia when the two reunite.
Spartacus: Vengeance is set to premiere on Starz January 2012.
