Titanic Miniseries Preview: Airs On ABC On April 14 & 15
This month marks the centenary of Titanic’s ill-fated journey across the sea, and as the date the RMS Titanic approaches, we should expect to see a fair amount of Titanic-related programming on television, not to mention the 3D release of Titanic into theaters (today!). For ABC, this includes a miniseries, also titled Titanic, which debuts on the network on Saturday April 14 and concludes on the 15th.
From Julian Fellowes and Nigell Stafford Clark, Titanic is a four-part miniseries, which re-tells the story of the ship’s voyage and unfortunate sinking in the Atlantic. The first three parts are set to air on Saturday (April 14, 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET), while the final hour will air on Sunday night (April 15 at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET). Filmed in Budapest, Hungary, the movie will include fictional characters and historical ones, which sounds similar to James Cameron’s Titanic in that respect, though it also sounds like the focus of the film will be divided by different stories...
Below are a couple of clips, the first of which has passengers arriving at the dock. The second shows the mayhem on deck as people scramble to get to lifeboats.
Titanic airs Saturday April 14 (8:00 - 11:00 p.m., ET) & Sunday Apri 15 (9:00 - 10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
