More drama awaits Bon Temps. Vampires are sick. Humans are in danger. And as is often the case, Sookie is caught somewhere in the middle. The preview for this Sunday night's "Fire in the Hole" hints that something may be wrong with Lafayette. And there's a new sheriff in town! Or a new mayor, technically.

It also looks like Holly is trying to use magic to get herself, Nicole and Arlene out of that basement. But they're interrupted by an H-Vamp who doesn't appreciate them playing Harry Potter down there. And then there's Eric. Last week's episode brought Eric back, but the veins on him indicate that he's suffering from more than a bit of sunburn. Will he return to Bon Temps? The episode description for "Fire in the Hole" indicates that Pam's giving him a compelling reason to do so...
Episode #73: “Fire in the Hole”

Debut: SUNDAY, JULY 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT)

Sookie (Anna Paquin) hatches a dangerous plan to take down the H-Vamps, even as Vince (Brett Rickaby) and his armed vigilantes pose an equally serious threat. Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) gets high with James (Nathan Parsons); Jason (Ryan Kwanten) eyes a family future with Violet (Karolina Wydra); Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire) is forced to find a new place to stay; Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) sheds her past. Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) offers Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) a compelling reason to return to Louisiana – and be the vampire he used to be.

Written by Brian Buckner; directed by Lee Rose.

The beginning of the description notes that Sookie's hatched some kind of dangerous plan to deal with the H-Vamp situation. Based on the preview above and this True Blood clip, it looks like that involves Bill... and his blood:

"I have a boyfriend."

That's a taste of the humor I love about this show. Bill gets all turned on as Sookie drinks his blood. She responds back that she's spoken for. Because that needs to be made perfectly clear when you're wrist-sucking in a car with a vampire.

Will Eric respond to Bon Temps? Will Holly's magic be able to rescue them out of that basement? Will Alcide get upset that Sookie drank Bill's blood? Will Jason have any more steamy dreams about Eric? We'll find out when True Blood airs Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO.
