Watch Samuel L. Jackson Perform A 'Boy Meets World' Slam Poem

Who better to revisit the poetry that was Boy Meets World than Samuel L. Jackson? Because... well, things sound awesome when Samuel L. Jackson says them. Jackson visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and took the stage to perform a slam poem about the beloved 90s sitcom Boy Meets World.
Among the major moments referenced was Cory and Topanga's memorable first kiss...
And Mr. Feeny's "Do Good" parting words...
I actually love how much emphasis the end of the poem placed on the greatness that is Mr. Feeny.
Though Jackson nails the poem, he actually admits in his interview with Jimmy that he didn't actually watch Boy Meets World.
So Jackson wasn't a Boy Meets World fan. Go figure! I guess he was too busy starring in movies, becoming famous and being awesome in the 90s to watch the show. And now look at him, he's Nick Fury! And occasionally mistaken for Laurence Fishburne...
Going back to the beginning of the poem, Jackson's cigarette reminds me of William Shatner's spoken word performance of Elton John's "Rocket Man"...
And now I'm wishing William Shatner would go on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and do another one of those. Maybe he could recite an essay explaining the Brenda-Dylan-Kelly love triangle from Beverly Hills, 90210, or perhaps simply a performance of the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would do. Anything '90s, really.
If you want to catch Jackson on the big screen, head to the theater this weekend and see Captain America: The Winter Soldier!
