Game of Thrones is returning to HBO’s schedule this weekend and what better way to celebrate than by indulging in a mash-up of street musicians performing the original score for the hit series? From drummers and singers to a mariachi group, the mash-up of different musical moments is amusing and just serves to remind me of how long I’ve been waiting for new episodes of Game of Thrones. Actually, if you are barely managing to stave off annoyance at the wait, maybe it’s better to not watch the above video clip, as it is a reminder that fans are super close to new episodes.
The good news is that the mash-up of the score holds no spoilers, so if you have been trying to avoid any hint of what may be to come in the series you are scot-free here, although I can’t say the same about our Season 3 spoiler editorial. This also isn’t the first time HBO has tried something creative with the show’s score. For the Season 1 DVD set, the kids on the show actually put together a rendition of the opening montage song that is super cute.
Season 3 of Game of Thrones is just around the corner, with a new episode set to premiere on May 31. Additions to the new season include Clive Russell, Tobias Menzies, Mackenzie Cook, Diana Rigg, Ellie Kendrick, Kerry Ingram and many, many more actors. Season 3 should be an action-packed season, so don’t forget to tune in.
HBO’s Game of Thrones will premiere on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
