Write A Comedy Pilot, Win Money And A Deal With Fox

Think you’re a good enough writer to put together a comedy pilot script that Fox would actually want to air? The network is once again teaming up with the New York Television Festival (NYTVF) for the third annual FOX-NYTVF Comedy Script Contest. Aspiring writers are invited to put together a half-hour comedy TV pilot, which could earn them a $25,000 prize as well as a development deal with Fox.

The opening date for script submissions is Tuesday, June 1st, so if you have no idea how to even begin to write a script, you still have time to learn. Then all you need to do is make it funny and hope Fox and the NYTVF people like it.

"The FOX-NYTYVF script contest has proven to offer a truly unique opportunity for up and coming talent to gain visibility," said Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company. "So many writers are looking for a door into the television industry, and we benefit by helping to open that door."
