One of the prominent new characters in Mass Effect 2 will be the Illusive Man, the mysterious head of pro-human organization Cerberus. Today BioWare sent out a couple shots of this evil mastermind (voiced by Martin Sheen).
As you may remember from the first game, Cerberus is willing to do pretty terrible stuff in order to promote humanity's interests in the galaxy. However, because Commander Shepard's a human, the Illusive Man will actually assist you in your mission to stop the Collectors. There's obviously going to be strings attached to this help, though. As you may have gathered from the torrential downpour of ME2 assets, the game's coming out very soon. Its North American release is scheduled for January 26th. Europe will get it on the 29th.
