BioShock 2 Teaser Site Revealed?Author: Pete Haas

BioShock 2 is so highly anticipated and so far away that it'd be best to put it out of mind for now. Well, that's proving difficult now that an apparent teaser website has hit the Internet.
Somethinginthesea.com was spotted by a Joystiq reader today and it looks sleek enough to be an official teaser from 2K Marin. The site consists solely of an old world map. There's an "X" marked over one spot of the map - it seems to be Ireland but being the dumb American that I am, my geography skills should not be relied upon. "2/20/67," presumably a date, is written above the mark. Tacked next to the "X" with a pin are three documents. The top of the pile is a picture of the Big Daddy doll seen in the BioShock 2 trailer released late last year. Underneath that photo is an article about a girl being kidnapped from a local beach by someone wearing a "miner's helmet" with a red light. The third document looks like a letter written by a local man to police noting that the Big Daddy doll resembles the description of the kidnapper. Presumably more will be slowly added to the site over time. Can't wait til it all makes sense. BioShock 2 is set to be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. |
