E3 2014: Forza Horizon 2 Xbox One, Xbox 360 Release Date Set
The official release date has been set for Forza Horizon 2 has been revealed. The game is set to arrive on both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One on September 30th.
The game features brand new content, ranging from the much-loved and very much respected Nürburgring, which basically takes about 10 minutes to blast through even in a super sports car like the Dodge Viper.
One of the games highly touted features is the improved and very dynamic Drivatar system. Gamers can record, train and upload their Drivatars to the “Cloud” and have friends, rivals and that evil kid who lives across from you that stole your girlfriend and told everyone that the rash came from licking a sewer lid, race against your prime-time, high-level and unbeatable Drivatar.
The game will also aim to maintain its 1080p and 60 frames per second that was accomplished in the original Forza Motorsport 5. Of course, the game managed to hit that resolution and frame-rate measure by cutting some obvious corners.
But graphics downgrades aside, the game will also sport some brand new features that Gran Turismo fans have been pelting the Forza fanboys with ever since Gran Turismo 5, and that's the introduction of dynamic weather systems. That's right, for the first time ever Forza Motorsport will get a dynamic weather system. It only took a decade but they got there.
You can see how it all comes together with the new promo trailer from E3 2014, below.
The game is aimed at being pretty big, containing hundred of cars, tons of playable maps and enough new features to keep gamers entertained until the next Forza Motorsport game releases... which will probably be in 2015 or 2016.
Still, if you're excited about getting in on some customizable, online competitive, slightly-better-graphics-than-seventh gen, you'll probably like Forza Horizon 2.
Remember, the game is set to arrive this fall starting September 30th, exclusively for the Xbox game systems. Although, I really wish that Forza was available for PC because wouldn't it be awesome to add all the custom mods to the game that we see in other titles like Project CARS and Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2? Am I right? Am I right?
