Headstrong Games Proves Nintendo Lets Crap Slip Through

published: 2009-02-04 15:14:12
In a new video documentary for House of the Dead: Overkill, there was a brief mention about how Headstrong Games was given full control over what they could do with the Nintendo Wii and what kind of content they could push into the game. They also mention that Nintendo never turned down any of the mature themes that appear in the game, meaning that they do get a say-so on the crap that gets put into third-party games.

You can check out the video documentary for House of the Dead: Overkill below. But the real winner here is how the team made it blatantly public that Nintendo still has a say-so on what kind of content still appears on the system. In this case, none of what they wanted to do was turned down, but was still checked for approval. So now the real question is: Why does Nintendo keep letting crap slip through and onto to the Wii?

Anyway, House of the Dead: Overkill is due out on February 10th for the Wii. The game looks like a shallow yet fun shooter. Probably one of those games you play off and on for about 20 minutes a day. You can check out the new vid doc, and remember to stay tuned in with Blend Games for more news and updates on all things gaming.
