Before Left 4 Dead 2 hits stores on November 17th, a demo will be released. Valve revealed today that it will arrive on October 27th.

The date was announced by Valve's Kim Swift (via Joystiq). It's not clear whether this is the early or general access date and platforms weren't specified. During the summer, Valve confirmed that pre-order customers would >receive the demo before everyone else.

With the original Left 4 Dead, Valve let Xbox 360 and PC pre-order customers play the demo five days earlier than the general public. A similar delay would not be unexpected with L4D2.

Update: Valve has confirmed to Shacknews that October 27th is the date that pre-order customers get the demo.
