Namco Bandai America revealed today that they've secured the exclusive rights to produce video games based on the manga/anime series Dragon Ball in North America.
Namco will have the video game rights locked up from 2010 to 2015. The rights were previously held by Atari, who acquired them in 2002. The agreement encompasses "all major consoles and hand held platforms," which probably means it extends to the next generation of consoles as well.
Though the exclusive agreement doesn't begin until January, Namco will also publish three DB titles in 2009: Dragon Ball: Raging Blast for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo for the Wii, and Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans for the Nintendo DS.
