Hype Next-Gen Batman Game Gets First Trailer on N4G
Next-Gen Batman Game Gets First Trailer Eidos has just released the first video footage of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the upcoming game being developed by Rocksteady Studios. There's no Batman-on-Joker violence but you do get to see quite a bit of the insane asylum that serves as a backdrop to the game.

There's actually no violence whatsoever, sadly. No shots of Batman or the supervillains who have taken over the asylum, either. It's a guided tour of Arkham's interior and it's probably the first and last time anyone will ever say, "Damn, that's a good-looking insane asylum." The game uses Unreal Engine 3 so the character models and environments look top-notch. Mmm, reflective surfaces.

Yeah yeah, it's a teaser trailer. Still, most teasers just flash a logo and a date so by those standards, this is pretty substantial. Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 sometime in 2009.
