Just in time to give you something else to be thankful for over the holiday weekend, Sony has announced the latest additions to the PlayStation Plus library, which can be added to your digital game collection starting next Tuesday, Dec. 1.

As always, the December list of PlayStation Plus games includes six titles, two for your PlayStation 4 library, two for the PlayStation 3 ad two for the PlayStation Vita. Some games are cross-play titles, meaning you’ll also be able to play them on the other platforms even if they are simply listed as Plus games for, say Vita.

We’ll kick things off with the PlayStation 4 Plus lineup for December, which includes the first chapter of King’s Quest, as well as another recent release, Gauntlet: Slayer Edition. A Knight to Remember is the opening to a new episodic adventure set in the King’s Quest universe. If you like what you see in this first chapter, you can add the rest of the game’s chapters to your wish list as they release. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is another reboot of a classic series, this time hailing from the arcade brawler genre. This new entry in the series plays more like a dungeon crawler, with multiple classes to choose from, maps full of enemies and traps and plenty of loot to collect.

While the PlayStation team didn’t put together trailers for the Plus games on the other platforms, that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth checking out.

The PlayStation 3 lineup looks especially fun, including an over-the-top shooter and an equally off-the-walls snowboarding game. Starting December 1, you’ll be able to download Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and SSX for the PS3. Blood Dragon was the 70’s action movie-inspired spinoff to Far Cry 3 that functions as a standalone title. It’s utterly insane and awesome to boot. SSX is a rad snowboarding game, so I don’t think much more needs to be said about that one.

Heading over to the PlayStation Vita and this month’s lineup is heavy on the action. Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is a unique side-scrolling shooter that boasts a killer soundtrack and some pretty clever gameplay. That will be joined by Freedom Wars, a “hunter” game that equips players with bladed weapons, guns and a grappling hook before unleashing them on a city to destroy body-snatching monsters. The better you do, the more years you knock off of an insane sentence you’re currently serving.

And that’ll about do it for next month’s Plus lineup. Following yesterday’s Games with Gold announcements, it looks like folks have a lot of fun titles to look forward to in the next 30 days.
