Bethesda decided not to wait until E3 to talk about Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's first DLC, Dawnguard. They've released a gameplay trailer showing off the new, supernatural adventure that awaits players.
In Skyrim, players were already able to become vampires. Now, it looks like you can become some sort of blood-sucking, man-sized bat...thing. I'm just gonna call them "super-vampires" for now.
Anyway, players find themselves in the middle of the war between these super-vampires and the crossbow-wielding folks hunting them. The term "Dawnguard" is the name of this group of hunters. Players can team up with either the Dawnguard or these super-vampires.
You may notice a brief glimpse at mounted combat in the trailer. That particular feature will be included in Patch 1.6 for Skyrim. The update is already in beta on the PC version and should be coming to consoles soon as well.
Dawnguard will be available through Xbox Live this summer for 1600 MS Points ($20). It'll be exclusive to the 360 for at least 30 days.
