If you want to find out what happens next to Jim Raynor and company, you'll have to wait awhile. StarCraft II director Dustin Browder doesn't think the first expansion, Heart of the Swarm, will be out this year.
"I don't know the answer to that," Browder told Eurogamer "We're working on it as hard as we can. We're really trying to push on this and get it out as soon as we can."
"I don't think you'll be playing it this year. That seems very unlikely to me. But we're pounding away on it as fast as we possibly can."
Swarm continues the single-player storyline of SC2 with a Zerg campaign. It will be followed by a second, Protoss-centric expansion called Legacy of the Void.
