The first episode of Watchmen: The End is Nigh, the video game prequel to the Watchmen film, is coming next week and Warner Bros. Interactive has just revealed the price. As with most downloadable content, it's not a dollar amount you'll be happy with.

According to Joystiq, it'll cost you 1600 Microsoft Points or $20 to download the beat 'em up. End is Nigh will be available on March 4th for PC and Xbox 360 and March 5th for PS3.

Twenty bucks isn't an unheard-of price - the first episode of Penny Arcade Adventures and Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned both bear the same price tag. Still, LAD is massive and the second episode of Penny Arcade Adventures was released for five bucks cheaper than the first. The Watchmen film hits theaters on the 6th so maybe Warner Bros. (distributor of the film and publisher of the game) expects everyone to be in a Watchmen feeding frenzy and indifferent to the elevated price.
