MineCraft developer Mojang is enlisting some outside support for the Xbox 360 version of their smash hit. They've tapped Scottish developer 4J Studios to create the console translation.

4J Studios was responsible for Star Trek: Encounters and Star Trek: Conquest. They've also handled several ports in the past. They brought Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to the PS3 in 2007 and Perfect Dark to Xbox Live Arcade in 2010.

"They seem to have a very good mentality, and obviously are very talented," tweeted MineCraft developer Markus Persson.

The Xbox 360 version of MineCraft will include support for Kinect. It's due this winter.
