Though the United Kingdom is still #1 in his heart, James Bond is making a slight detour to one of the Queen's former colonies before arriving on our shores. Quantum of Solace will be released in Britain first, on October 31, but will debut a week later in India before finally showing up in the United States on Nov. 14.We always knew Bond was an international guy, but come on, is he just trying to hurt our feelings? India-based Sony exec Kercy Daruwalla told The Hollywood Reporter "James Bond has a huge equity in this country, and Bond films have always been a hit here." Though India has the world's largest film industry, American films have usually found a foothold there, and who better to be a hit than the most globetrotting spy in the movies? Those of you with illegal proclivities probably figure this means you can find a copy of the movie dubbed in Hindi (Disclaimer: Don't pirate movies!). For the rest of you, it won't make much of a difference.
