Well, a new Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer trailer has dropped, and it’s just as bland and average as one would expect. There’s some smokin’ hot Jessica Alba action, a few corny fire puns, and Michael Chiklis looking as intimidating as ever. A wedding also seems to be involved, and a huge planet eating cloud. It’s pretty much a fanboy’s wet dream and a serious filmgoer’s nightmare.
The highly anticipated sequel drops alongside other blockbuster franchise installments on June 15th. In an effort to help calm your superhero withdrawal symptoms, we’ll go ahead and provide you with a copy of the trailer. It’s the least we could do to help with the wait. Watch at your own risk.

The trailers for Spiderman 3 made it look amazing.
It didn't live up.
The trailers for Shrek 3 made it look like a worthy successor.
It wasn't
The trailers for Pirates 3 made it look exciting.
It failed to live up to the hype.
The trailers for Fantastic Four make it look like cheesy, good natured fun, kind of like the first one.
It just might be the first sequel of the summer to deliver what it promises.
A comic book movie that isn't afraid to not take itself too seriously isn't a filmgoers nightmare, it's a breath of fresh air. I'm not big on sequels, and so far this summer my theory of disappointing sequels has held up. I'm kinda hoping this one doesn't disappoint for the sake of my sanity.
