Ben Barnes Talks Prince Caspian

The next chapter of Disney’s The Chronicles of Narnia is now less than a year away (set for a July 30, 2008 release date) so it’s time for Disney to start building the hype. They’ve already double dipped on the first film, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, for DVD, so they’re going to have to find other ways to go about it. Apparently part of their plan is to let some of the actors speak for themselves.

Over the weekend, Disney piped in actor Ben Barnes who plays the title role of Prince Caspian. The character is new to the second story, a character who rules Narnia after the Pevensie family goes back to the real world and then receives help from the family upon their return to Narnia. Barnes got the chance to introduce himself and talk a little about his character to the Comic Con audience.

But what about those of us who weren’t at Comic Con? Don’t we deserve to find out about The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian too? Disney apparently thinks so, as they’ve updated their production blog with an entry from Barnes, where he gets the chance to introduce himself and talk a little about his character. We also get a chance to see the Prince in action, along with some new footage of Narnia.
