Dwayne Johnson Shares Updates On The Next Two Fast And The Furious Movies image
If youíre in the habit of checking Amazonís Instant Video fairly frequently to see what movie is featured for the Instant Video Deal of the Day, then you may have already know that the site has Fast Five available as a 48-hour rental for $.99 today only. Itís certainly a bargain, especially if you havenít gotten around to watching the latest installment in the ever-popular Fast and Furious franchise. And with news of how to watch the fifth film for cheap, we also have an update on the status of whatís ahead for the franchise.

We knew that the sequel to Fast Five would be split into two films, and there was apparently talk of the movies being filmed back-to-back, however, from what Dwayne Johnson tells MTV, thatís not the case any more.

We were going to try that because it wouldn't make sense to have the same crew and have everybody there in one place, but I think we're dealing with some weather issues, so from what I know we're going to shoot 'Fast 6' first and then worry about 'Fast 7' a little later.

Given the emphasis on cars in the films, and thus, the outdoors as a backdrop, not to mention conditions for stunts, weather is certainly an understandable factor.

As for the locations of Fast 6 and Fast 7, while Johnson wouldnít reveal the specific locations for each movie, he did say they were going to be filming in the U.K. and Germany. He also said theyíre going to start shooting in May.

Dwayne Johnson isnít new to action films, but he was new to the Fast and Furious franchise, up until the last movie, in which he played a starring role and opposing character to stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Among his upcoming projects are G.I. Joe: Retaliation and the recently released Journey 2: Mysterious Island.
