Invasion Trailer Snatched

The trailer for the new Nicole Kidman/Daniel Craig horror movie has just dropped, and the best thing I can say about it is that I was underwhelmed. Sure, the action may seem fast-paced, the camera angles snazzy, but the basic outline is just recycled clichés. In fact, I’m not even sure which bloated and stolen plotline is worse: main characters trying not to fall asleep or someone uttering, “Don’t show emotion. Then they don’t know who’s who.”

The Invasion is a doomed to fail remake of the cult classic Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. The film was originally wrapped almost a year and a half ago, but due to some production issues (the studio probably hated it), they went back in and did massive re-shoots this year. Nothing inspires confidence in a movie like a studio reworking a director’s vision.

Enough with my opinions, though. Watch the trailer below and make up your own mind.
