Another week and some more Justice League of America movie news is out there telling us little and guessing at much. We just told you that Ryan Reynolds wants to be The Flash and if the people actually making the movie want him to be that character also it will work out nicely. We’ve also heard that maybe Superman and Batman will be in it and maybe they won’t. If they are in it, then Christian Bale and Brandon Routh might play those characters, or might not. Finally, it’s possible there is a script out there written by Dermot Mulroney’s brother and the director could be Mr. Happy Feet himself, George Miller.
Now the guys at Movie Hole say that Routh and Bale will NOT be in the movie and you can take that to the bank. They go on to state that it doesn’t mean the characters won’t be in a Justice League movie, just that the two actors won’t be along for the ride. So, everything is still kinda up in the air, which means that it’s not really a different situation than it was two weeks or two months ago.
The one thing that is agreed by almost everyone is that there will be a movie and shooting will start sometime in 2008 for a 2009 release. A casting director is reportedly about to be hired, which means we might get actual cast members and roles rather than half-assed guesses and “I heard a guy say that maybe The Atom will be in it…” reports. I like The Atom, I hope he’s in it.
