Magnet Keeping Sci-Fi Alive By Distributing Troll Hunter![]()
We recently ran a trailer for a Norweigan film called Troll Hunter that has been making the rounds in the festival circuit and doing so to resoundingly positive receptions from appreciative audiences. Thankfully, the folks over at Magnet feel the same way and have picked up the piece for distribution, according to a issued press release.
The film follows a group of documentary filmmakers into the wilderness of Norway along with a guide who happens to be a certified troll hunter. What the group gets is much more than they originally anticipated, though, as troll after troll comes out of the woodwork to wreak havoc on our cocky, unsuspecting heroes. Tom Quinn from Magnet had this to say about the acquisition: “The Troll Hunter is one hell of a ride, with trolls the size of King Kong. André Ovredal has created a one-of-a-kind creature feature that’s sure to entertain and wow audiences all over the world. We’re extremely proud to add it to the Magnet slate.” Magnet also be released the sci-fi piece Monsters, which they picked up from SXSW, this month to VOD, so you may expect the same sort of treatment for Troll Hunter, though Magnet is planning theatrical releases for both. Scope out the rad trailer and full press release below.
