This trailer is NSFW in every sense of the abbreviation. Boobs, blood and bonkers behavior are everywhere. Anyone who clicks on this thinking Beautiful People will be arousing should consider themselves warned.

I'm no strangers to home invasions thrillers, even those that turn the sub-genre on its head. I've seen Youíre Next. I've seen Home Alone. I know how it goes. So is was with an unadmittable amount of glee that I watched the above trailer for the indie horror Beautiful People from Doghouse Pictures, which flips the thriller dial to "creature feature" in the middle of everything. And not only do we get a trailer, but the filmís rights were acquired by Raven Banner Entertainment, so audiences will be able to feast on this bloody treat sooner rather than later. Is that a good thing? Absolutely, assuming you have an appetite for gross-out horror.

The Potecorvo family is enjoying an average night at home when three masked villains enter their home and hold everyone hostage. Unfortunately for them, the father is also a scientist whose super-secret experiments are a group of mutants hellbent on violence and murder. Or something.

Donít get me wrong; I donít think this looks like a masterpiece or anything, and just inserting "non-zombie zombie-like creatures" into another film type isnít exactly state of the art. But it isnít American-made, which is almost always a plus where cheap horror is concerned, and the storyline does feel somewhat original. And did you see all the awesomely gory practical effects and make-up? Iím positive this flick could get panned from here to Pluto and Iíd still give it a watch just to see what happens with this nasty eyeless mofo seen below, via still from Bloody Disgusting

This is the first feature from director Brini Amerigo, and has a script written by Andrea Cavaletto, who also wrote this yearís Hidden in the Woods. It stars David White, James Wiles, Kate Marie Davies, Danny Cutler, Ettore Nicoletti, Alexandra Antonioli, Vanina Marini, Alex Southern and Alex Lucchesi. Not sure who any of these people are, but they all seem capable of leading a low-budget thriller, by the looks of this trailer.

Beautiful People is currently in post-production, and no release date has been announced just yet. But when it does, weíll be sure to break into your house and let you know.
