The name Olivia Wilde is only familiar to me because back in college, I heard some kind of rumor that her real name is Olivia Cockburn (ha!) and she was involved in some kind of stupid driving accident that I can’t remember the details of anymore. The Cockburn thing is true though, so get your giggles out now!

Wilde is apparently a regular on House now, and soon she’ll have an even more high-profile role. According to Variety, she’s taken a part in Year One as a love interest for Jack Black. If you’ve been following the casting news for Year One you know it’s a comedy set in the Biblical era, and it stars a plethora of big comedy names, including Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, a.k.a. McLovin. It’s directed by Harold Ramis, who made Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day before going on to play Seth Rogen’s dad in Knocked Up last summer.

There aren’t many details on Wilde’s role, other than that her name is Princess Inanna and she’ll likely be getting hot and heavy with Jack Black. Oddly enough, according to the House fansite Watching House, she’s a princess in real life, thanks to some obscure Roman laws. Typecasting, or another egregious example of Jack Black getting to act alongside a woman ridiculously more beautiful than he is?
