Some of you went and saw the Naomi Watts remake of The Ring. I did not so I have no particular attachment to whatever the heck they do with it next. I do know that it is largely responsible for making Naomi Watts a legitimate star, so I guess we all owe it thanks for that. Assuming Naomi makes a great movie at some point.

But the sequel is coming and they’ve got the first trailer for it out over at The Ring 2 official site. So if you’re into that, go check it out. Naomi Watts returns, this time alongside Sissy Spacek, who I hate with an unreasoning fury. Maybe it’s just her name that pisses me off.

The Ring 2 opens March 18, 2005.
