Transformers 4 Reveals New Autobots In Car Form

As indicated by the casting news that we just posted a few moments ago, Transformers 4 is really heating up and getting everything in order to start production and get the cameras rolling. Michael Bay is back in the director's chair after taking a break to make Pain & Gain, Ehren Kruger is once again holding the pen, and the strong cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Sophia Myles and Kelsey Grammar.

But what's going on over on the robot side of things? We've known for months that the latest Transformers sequel would be introducing some new mechanical characters (mostly to just drive up toy sales), but their identities have been kept under lock and key. Sadly, that remains the case today, but we now at least know what the new members of the gang will look like in car form. And they're quite sporty.

Yahoo! has debuted two exclusive shots from Transformers 4 that show off the types of vehicles that two of the new characters will turn from and into. Above you can see the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse (a car worth $2.4 million) and below there's a C7 Corvette Stingray (based on the manufacturer's designs for 2014). The site says that both characters will be Autobots and that the Monument Valley, Utah backdrop is significant, but fails to mention why. Basically, what we have here are pictures of two very, very cool cars and very few details. Check out the the second photo below.

Transformers 4 will be in theaters June 27, 2014.
