Tribeca: Serious Moonlight Red Carpet

On November 1st, 2006, Hollywood lost a great actress, writer and director. The loving family and friends of Adrienne Shelly are working hard to keep her legacy alive. Not only has her husband, Andy Ostroy, established the Adrienne Shelly Foundation, which honors female filmmakers with film school scholarships, but he will also be developing one of her screenplays called The Morgan Stories.

Another person working to bring Shelly’s work to life is Cheryl Hines. As a director, Hines lead Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton, Kristin Bell and Justin Long to bring Shelly’s script Serious Moonlight to the Tribeca Film Festival. This afternoon, Hines and Ryan took the time to tell me about their experiences working with Shelly’s material.
