With beloved cult TV shows, isn't it sometimes better to burn out than fade away? Freaks and Geeks is still discussed reverently, while Firefly soured a little bit in light of its big-screen version, Serenity. Rob Thomas seems to disagree, though, and is apparently pushing forward with a Veronica Mars movie.
Slash Film reports that Thomas and Kristen Bell met earlier this week to talk about the possibility of a movie about the girl detective. "As soon as I have any free time, that’s my top priority,” he apparently told Entertainment Weekly. Thomas is currently at work prepping one of the most anticipated shows of the fall season, the 90210 revamp, but damn the torpedoes, he seems determined to revisit Mars, his noble failure. Maybe Joss Whedon can give him some tips on how to pull it off this time.
