The Hunger Games: Catching Fire blazed quite a trail through theaters this weekend. The sequel to last year's The Hunger Games set a new record for the highest opening for the month of November at $161 million. That's also a step up from its predecessor which opened at $152 million.

Last weekend's number one Thor: The Dark World took a hard hit, dropping more than 60% to a distant second place with just $14 million. At $167 million to date the movie is well on its way towards $200 million but looks to settle not much further beyond that mark.

Vince Vaughn's newest comedy Delivery Man failed to deliver at all, opening at a weak fourth place with just $8 million. That's an all time low for Vaughn who hasn't ever had a wide release film (1,000+ screens) open under $10 million.
