Rachel McAdams In Talks To Replace Reese Witherspoon In Sci-Fi Love Story Passengers
Set to be directed by Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones) from a script written by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus), Passengers will take place aboard a huge spacecraft transporting thousands of citizens to a distant planet in the early stages of colonization. Due to a malfunction in one of the shipís sleep chambers, one lone passenger (Reeves) wakes up 90 years before he is supposed to.
NYFF Review: About Time Squanders Massive Potential With A Sloppy Time-Travel Romance
Richard Curtis, the writer who mastered the high-concept wish-fulfillment fantasy of Notting Hill and the many-threaded romances of Love Actually, is the perfect person to bring us a rom-com like About Time. Unfortunately, even though Curtis wrote and directed it, About Time is not a perfect rom-com for him, with sloppier plotting and fuzzier morals than the airy story can handle, and a wide streak of sentimentality that's frustratingly unearned
Rachel McAdams Joins James Franco In Wim Wenders' Every Thing Will Be Fine
Charlotte Gainsbourg has signed on to play the aforementioned mother, while Robert Naylor of televisionís Being Human will portray the surviving brother. For her part, McAdams will play Francoís concern girlfriend, who attempts to help him cope in the shadow of his guilt.
Rachel McAdams Seduces Noomi Rapace In Brian DePalma's Passion Trailer
Hearing about the film inspired no excitement. A remake of an unamazing French movie, Love Crime, that trades in two stellar actresses for a good one and an average one? Thatís a raincheck I donít mind signing.
James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges And More Cast In The Little Prince
For those unfamiliar with the book, the plot centers on a pilot who crashes in the Sahara desert and miraculously comes across a young boy who claims to hail from an asteroid and has fallen to Earth. The pilot fixes his plane and tries to get it ready for flight again while the boy tells him stories about his homeworld. Sources have informed THR that Bridges will be providing the voice of the pilot, but fails to mention who the rest of the actors will be portraying.
Rachel McAdams Finds Love In About Time American Trailer
What if you could relive any moment until it was perfect? This is the question at the center of writer-director Richard Curtis's latest romantic comedy, which boasts a clever sci-fi twist. This time round, the mind behind such winsome romances as Love Actually, Notting Hill, and Four Weddings and a Funeral centers his love story on a gawky 21-year-old man named Tim (Anna Karenina's Domhnall Gleeson), whose just learned that his unique DNA allows him to time travel at will.
About Time Trailer Is The Love Actually Reunion You've Been Waiting For
Nighy plays the patriarch of a family whose male members are able to travel through time. He passes this information down to his relative, Tim (Domhnall Gleeson), who doesnít use the newfound gift to change dramatic passages of history or correct humanityís past mistakes. He uses it to get girls.
Rachel McAdams Joins Cameron Crowe's New Romance
When Cooper was cast opposite Stone I complained that it was another in a long string of age-inappropriate relationships for Cooper onscreen, coming just after he romanced 15-years-younger Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook. McAdams, on the other hand, is only three years younger than Cooper, which makes it much more the kind of matchup we can get behind. Of course, given that McAdams is reportedly playing the ex it's clear that age is just a number here, but it's a step at least
Rachel McAdams Time-Travel Rom-Com Pushed To November
Rachel McAdams didn't fare all that waell the first time she starred in a romance opposite a man who could time travel, when The Time Traveler's Wife failed to be nearly as big a hit as the movie it was based on. But she's giving it another shot anyway, starring opposite Anna Karenina standout Domnhall Gleeson
Rachel McAdams Joining Philip Seymour Hoffman In A Most Wanted Man
Sure, she hasn't turned The Vow into a mega-year quite the way her co-star Channing Tatum has, but she's doing pretty well, and she looks to be continuing her hot streak with A Most Wanted Man, the John le Carre novel adaptation that already has Philip Seymour Hoffman set to star
Terrence Malick's Ben Affleck Drama Will Be Titled To The Wonder
Wonder stars an impressive array of talents, including Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem, Rachel Weisz, Michael Sheen, Amanda Peet, Barry Pepper and Jessica Chastain. IMDB claims it centers on ďa man who reconnects with a woman from his hometown after his marriage to a European woman falls apart.Ē
Rachel McAdams Could Join The Time-Travel Comedy About Time
I'm starting to think that Rachel McAdams may have a thing for guys who have the ability to time travel. In 2009 she starred alongside Eric Bana in The Time Traveler's Wife as a woman who lives a life with a husband who can't control his ability to time jump, and now she's getting set to play a similar role - only this time the time travel ability is controlled and it's a comedy instead of a drama.
The Vow Gets Serious On Blu-Ray In May
The Vow will hit Blu-Ray and DVD on May 8. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is bringing even more extras into the mix for audiences who purchase Blu-Ray copies of the film. Blu-Ray copies will exclusively come with three featurettes, including one that delves into the true story The Vow is based on, about the real-life couple who had to realign their relationship after a traumatic accident inspired amnesia
Rachel McAdams May Join Noomi Rapace In Brian DePalma's Passion
If this story is true, I think DePalma is making a big mistake. As much as I didn't like the film, the dynamic between Thomas and Sagnier was interesting because of the boss-protege relationship. If you make the characters the same age then you are taking away one of the few things about the movie that actually worked. Still, McAdams and Rapace are both talented actresses, so maybe they can work with what DePalma gives them.
Channing Tatum Woos Rachel McAdams In Trailer For The Vow
A lot of good actors get caught up in cheesy Nicholas Sparks adaptations, from Kevin Costner all the way back with Message in a Bottle to Amanda Seyfried just last year in Dear John. But you have to start worrying when an actor goes back to the Sparks well twice, agreeing once again to weep, fall in love and be shot in soft focus
