Jason Schwartzman Goes Urban In Yo Teach!

30 Rock has spent three seasons making gleeful fun of their own network NBC, with everything from Jack Donaghy's brainchild MILF Island to Kenneth calling the network's emblem, in Chinese, "the rainbow chicken." But now Judd Apatow is getting in on the game as he and Universal get started on the viral marketing campaign for July's Funny People. Yeah, we all like Jason Schwartzman, but would we watch him on a Saved by the Bell-style sitcom called Yo Teach!?

Yeah, probably. In the two clips below (found via Cinematical) we get a look at the show, in which Schwartzman's character Mark Taylor Jackson teaches kids about Shakespeare using... rap! Brilliant! The first clip is a behind-the-scenes kind of clip show featuring Schwartzman giving a hilariously egomaniacal interview, and the second is a clip from the show, a dead-on parody of the earnest 90s sitcoms we all grew up with and loved.

Obviously the tone of Yo Teach! is nothing like what we'll see in Funny People, but the whole thing is genuinely funny in a way we only trust the Apatow gang to pull off. Check out the two clips below, and keep an eye out for what will inevitably be other videos for the characters played by Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Adam Sandler, and maybe even Eric Bana. If these kinds of fake TV shows are what the trailers before Tropic Thunder have led to, I'm all for it.
