Watch Cee Lo Green's Phone Explode As He Uses It

As a culture, we use technology constantly. Smart phones were a game changer, with the entire world now at our disposal. Unfortunately, some devices end up being released before they're ready, causing problems and even dangerous situations. In addition to the hoverboards that have been spontaneously bursting into flames, the Galaxy Note 7 was recalled when reports of phones exploding began coming in. Unfortunately, it looks like singer/songwriter Cee Lo Green may not have gotten the memo, and he kept the original phone for longer than he probably should have.

This resulted in Cee Lo's phone suddenly exploding while he had it to his ear. It's about as scary as it sounds, and there happens to be a video of the explosion happening. Check out security footage of Cee Lo's exploding phone below.

Pretty scary, right? As you can see from the above video, the former Voice judge was simply using his phone when it spontaneously combusted in his face. The explosion was so powerful that it knocked Cee Lo Green clean off of his chair. It's a pretty terrifying video, and one that definitely will leave most people scared for the singer's well being.

If you're worried about Cee Lo Green's health in the wake of that sudden explosion, you can rest assured. The singer took to Facebook Live in response to the video's release, assuring his many fans that he was just fine. He said the following:

I just want to let everybody know that I am alive, and I'm well, and I'm OK. Truthfully, I'm really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today.

But it appears that this scary video was actually part of a new project by Cee Lo. The video is apart of a larger video which is apparently called "Gnarly Davidson". So while Cee Lo's video may have terrified plenty of viewers, it's quickly turned into a marketing moment. You can check out his response video below.

It should be interesting to see how the public continues to react to Cee Lo Green after this revelation. The public was widely concerned for his well being after that video went public, and to hear it was all some sort of publicity stunt is sure to offend those fans.
