Judge Rules Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Can Stay On Gawker For Now
Hulk Hogan never assented to have his assets bared on tape when he consented to having sex with his buddy Bubba the Love Spongeís wife. When the tape was leaked on the Internet, it was a total surprise to the wrestler, and heís spent the last few weeks seeking vengeance in the form of a lawsuit against Gawker, the website that posted a highlight video of Hoganís performance in bed. Today, a judge made a preliminary decision prior to the case working its way through the courts, and things arenít looking any rosier for Hogan.
Hulk Hogan wants two things out of the lawsuit: $100 million and the more feasible yanking of the tape from the Internet site. When a judge postponed the case, allowing time for Gawker to craft a response, things were already looking a little negative for Hogan, and, just a few days later, the highlight tape will be allowed to stay on the Gawker website, for now.
According to TMZ, the judge ruled the tape was safe to stay on the Internet for now mostly due to Hoganís teams inability to prove the website wasnít working within the bounds of its First Amendment rights when the tape was posted.
At the end of the day, there is no doubt in my mind that Hogan got a raw deal when the sex tape was initially leaked on the Internet. However many times people have seen his heiny, it doesnít mean he should get his $100 million, or even get the abridged tape removed from the news source. This is just a great example of why you should choose your friends wisely, kids.
