Are there any actors who are busier than the ones who work in the Arrowverse? Not only do they work on their own show, but they also occasionally have to put in time at the three other DC TV shows they share a universe with on the CW. That's a big commitment and they probably don't get a lot of time time, but that hasn't stopped Arrow star Stephen Amell from trying to get on another show. And it's a show entirely suited to the unique skillset he's cultivated as the Green Arrow. Next year Amell wants to take a go at American Ninja Warrior.

Ok... It happened. The people of Salt Lake City and the great State of Utah pushed me over the edge. NBC American Ninja Warrior - in 2017, I would like to compete on your show.

Stephen Amell made an appearance at Salt Lake Comic Con, and apparently the experience was enough to make the actor decide it was time to have a go at American Ninja Warrior. Amell took to Facebook to announce his interest, and to get a campaign going for him to join the physical based competition series in 2017.

The Arrow actor seems like a perfect combatant for the NBC series. He's certainly no stranger to working out; anyone familiar with Stephen Amell's social media will know he frequently posts videos of his intense training regime. He might as well take those salmon ladder skills and put them to good use.

This isn't the first time that Stephen Amell has campaigned to make a personal dream come true. He recently worked himself into a WWE storyline through a "feud" with wrestling star Stardust. Their back and forth eventually led to a match at last year's SummerSlam. Wrestling may not be 100 percent real, but it still takes an impressive amount of physicality to pull off. It's easy to see Amell doing just as well with American Ninja Warrior.

Stephen Amell's campaign is already off to a good start. He almost immediately got the attention of Ninja Warrior host Matt Iseman, who tweeted his own acceptance of Amell's application.

Despite their friendly exchange, this shouldn't be taken as a confirmation of Stephen Amell running the gauntlet. The Arrow actor still has ways to go before getting the okay to participate on the show. It is a good sign though, and it's hard to imagine Amell won't get his shot at the title when 2017 rolls around. In the meantime, you can see all the skills he wants to bring to Ninja Warrior on his show Arrow, which is premiering Season 5 on October 5, 2016, on the CW.
