Straight from TV Blend's gang of series addicted television addicts. Game Of Thrones Watch: Season 3, Episode 8 - Second Sons After being left (cliff-)hanging at so many different locations by the end of "The Bear and the Maiden Fair," "Second Sons" instead focused its attention on progressing only a select few. And with last night's developments once again leaving audiences wanting more, not to mention those older threads still dangling, well, that brings us to the bad news. There are two long weeks before Game of Thrones returns with the penultimate episode of the season. But first, the calm before the storm. Game Of Thrones' David Benioff And Dan Weiss To Pen An Episode Of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia What do Game of Thrones and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia have in common? As of Season 9 of the FX comedy, writers apparently. At least, for one episode anyway. The team of showrunners who are usually busy blowing our minds with each passing episode of Game of Thrones are set to pen an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for the upcoming season. Game Of Thrones Watch: Season 3, Episode 7 - The Bear And The Maiden Fair Game of Thrones is really on a roll. The last three episodes of HBO's fantasy series have been on par with or better than any that have come before and the third season as a whole is shaping up to be the most entertaining one yet. "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" was another really enjoyable installment, undoubtedly leaving audiences both incredibly satisfied but still salivating for more. It probably didn't hurt to have Breaking Bad alum Michelle McLaren directing a script written by George R.R. Martin himself. Game Of Thrones Watch: Season 3, Episode 6 - The Climb There was a decidedly lighter tone to Game of Thrones this week, well, until the ending. It's interesting to see the fantasy drama sustain a full episode of delightful turns of phrase and fairly innocuous interactions between some of our favorite, and usually more temperamental, characters. Perhaps "The Climb" is simply the calm before the storm? HBO must be trying to make the audience feel nice and secure and then BAM! Ned Stark is alive and beheaded all over again. Game Of Thrones Watch: Season 3, Episode 5 - Kissed By Fire The third season of Game of Thrones started slowly, common for serialized shows with large ensembles, but the last few episodes have been extra intense. Ever since the end of "A Walk of Punishment" it's been one gripping sequence after another and last week's “And Now His Watch Is Ended" was perhaps the best installment of the entire series. So far, that is. "Kissed By Fire" could also easily be part of that conversation, thanks to some stellar performances and impeccably written dialogue. Watch: Game Of Thrones Theme Song Covered With Carillon Bells The Game of Thrones opening sequence and song are one of many reasons to love the show. Since the HBO series' premiere, the opening sequence has been celebrated on The Simpsons and you can find plenty of covers of it on YouTube, including this truly bizarre one one sung by a cat. The latest one worth watching is this one, performed on carillon bells. Game Of Thrones Watch: Season 3, Episode 4 - And Now His Watch Is Ended Now that was the first great episode of this season of Game of Thrones. Not that the previous three weren't well executed in their own right but “And Now His Watch Is Ended” was even more engaging because it was way less concerned with (re)introducing the several story lines or characters and instead had the action escalate significantly. Of course, you can't have all the excellent payoffs without the setups and last week should get some of the credit for doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Insert 'it's hard to lift with one hand joke' here. Veep Middling In Premiere, Game Of Thrones Hits Ratings High The ratings are in for HBO’s Sunday night programming and it's good news for one show and not-so-good news for another. Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode was another win for loyal viewers while Veep’s Season 2 premiere faltered from Season 1. Let’s talk about the good news, first. Game Of Thrones Season 3, Episode 4 Preview: A Look At 'And Now His Watch Is Ended' The problem with Game of Thrones - which may not be an actual "problem," technically, but does prove to be frustrating on occasion - is that there are so many great characters that the story is constantly divided, and we might not see a follow-up to a particularly great cliffhanger right away. Take the end of this week's episode, "Walk of Punishment," for example. And it's at this point that you really want to stop reading now if you aren't caught up through Episode 3 of Season 3 of Game of Thrones! Game Of Thrones Watch: Season 3, Episode 3 - A Walk of Punishment Those few who weren’t particularly impressed with the slower paced, world (re)building first two episodes of the season surely got more than a, uh, handful of scenes last night to satisfy the bloodthirsty and sex-starved Game of Thrones viewers. “A Walk of Punishment” had plenty of both, a fantasy-exploitation episode that effectively titillated and shocked as well as provided some great moments of levity. Some. Game Of Thrones: See Daenerys As A Disney Princess Game of Thrones seems to inspire a lot of parodies, including one where the Houses of Westeros prepare for prom, but Daenerys as a Disney Princess? Yes indeed, here is she is, singing her heart out and inspiring young girls everywhere to follow their dreams. To do this, she belts out cheerfully,"I'm on my way...this is it, I'm leaving today!" Game of Thrones' Natalie Dormer To Guest Star In Elementary For A Pivotal Role These days, Natalie Dormer can be found trying to secure herself as the Queen on HBO's Game of Thrones. But it looks like the former Tudors star is going to be making an appearance on network television in the near future. And from what's been reported, it's a pretty big role with a multi-episode arc on the popular CBS drama series.
