‘Tis the season for the holiday specials and songs and commercials to flood the market, and clothing store H&M is ahead of the curve. Apparently, however, “’tis the season” for H&M and Katy Perry means producing a commercial that is really, really creepy.
In what may be the best advertisement for any product ever devised, this commercial features a handsome prince and a unicorn that poops ice cream who want to change the way you go to the bathroom forever.
Most actors are just happy to have any work at all early on, and once they do find success, evidence of their past roles often provides fun times for the rest of us. Case in point, watch Kevin James shake it for all he’s worth in this hilarious, and strange, commercial for a pizza joint.
There’s a new TV trend that is becoming apparent. More advertising is being thrown into our TV content in order to make up for the loss of viewers over the last several years. We frequently think of the Super Bowl as the big day for advertisers here in the US, but over the holiday season, commercials actually manage to have a lot of power. It’s the time of year when we expect plenty of cozy and heartwarming holiday-related commercials. However, the release of a shelved Folgers commercial featuring none other than KISS guitarist and singer Paul Stanley is a bit more unexpected. Check it out.
You know the Carl’s Jr. / Hardees commercials that feature laviscious ladies who always seem pretty excited about consuming a high calorie cheeseburger? Well, the women who are paid to star in those commercials often get more than they bargained for. Katherine Webb recently spoke out about how many cheeseburgers she had to eat during filming.
“I’ve had my ups and downs,” actor and martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme says in the new Volvo commercial. “My fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds. That’s what made me what I am today. Now I stand here before you, what you see is a body crafted to perfection, a pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics… and a mind set to master the most epic of splits.”
When you already have the die-hard football fans guaranteed to tune in, you turn your attention to figuring out how to nab the rest of the demographics. The half-time show is a prime example of reaching previously untapped viewers, especially since they brought in Madonna - meaning, they aren't even pretending that the show was designed for the actual football fans. However, viewers can easily tune in and tune out for the halftime show, so in the real coup comes with the commercials.
Despite the constant chatter leading up the big event, there's still an actual football game played at the Super Bowl. Two teams will battle for the world championship and yet all anyone really seems to care about are the commercials! Whatever reason you have for tuning in, it's sure driving the price of those commercial spots through the roof.
Slick, fast-paced and probably expensive, the new spot runs at more than a minute and a half and is chock-full of provacative statements and perhaps more importantly, a Don Johnson cameo
If you’re a Glee fan, then you’ve probably noticed that Rachel Berry has great hair. Lea Michele, who plays Rachel in the popular Fox musical comedy series, is set to star in a Dove commercial and we have a behind-the-scenes video and some photos to share with you on the ad.
