Fox has been trying to prove it's interested in putting together diverse content with diverse casts for viewers in recent years. The latest series to take a look at life through a unique lens is Gang Related, a tough crime drama that examines gang-life in Los Angeles, the special police forces that hunt down the criminals and a young officer who is caught in the crossfire.

After months of pilot orders and casting news, we're now starting to learn the fate of the pilots in development for the 2013-2014 season. Earlier, we shared word that NBC was passing on a number of pilots, including the modern-day Hatfields & McCoys drama, and tonight brings word of a number of pickups over at Fox, among which is the Sleepy Hollow drama from Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, as well as the robot-cop drama from Fringe's J.H. Wyman and J.J. Abrams, Almost Human.
Foxís Gang Related has added to its cast, and this time around Last Resortís Jay Hernandez, who has had some trouble finding success on TV over the past few years and has to be hoping things go better this time around. Hernandez will join Ramon Rodriguez in the drama pilot.
Among the recent pilot orders for Fox on the drama front is a project set on an aircraft carrier, and another that sounds a bit like The Departed in its premise.
