The Newsroom Season 2 Promo Covers Some Interesting Camera Angles
The Newsroom’s newest trailer is a slow motion affair, giving us some behind-the-scenes looks at shooting the drama, which is amusing, as the video shows shots of the crew shooting a crew of actors who are shooting the news. The series’ big strength is that its audience always feels as if it is getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a newsroom and breaking this wall to see that it’s just a fictive narrative is interesting, but also vaguely disappointing, even though anyone with half a brain should already know The Newsroom is a scripted drama.
We’re only a couple of months away from the reintroduction of The Newsroom into HBO’s lineup. For the last couple of months, the Aaron Sorkin-produced drama has been teasing us with short promos and a set trailer that openly discusses the challenges some of The Newsroom’s characters will face in its second season on the air.
If you want some serious hints about what Season 2 will entail, this “Behind the Scenes Tease” is not the video for you. However, if you just want to be reminded that your patience in waiting for the new season will be rewarded, soon, give the video a shot. The Newsroom stars Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, John Gallagher Jr., Olivia Munn, Dev Patel, Sam Waterston, and Jane Fonda. Season 2 will premiere on HBO on July 14 at 10 p.m. ET. Additionally, Season 1 Blu-ray and DVD copies will be available on June 11.
