Starz is quickly becoming a great premium cable destination for adventure, with Da Vinci's Demons and Black Sails among their current series, and time travel period drama Outlander on deck to premiere this Summer. They also have 50 Cent's new drama Power lined up to premiere, giving subscribers much to anticipate as the warmer months approach. Starz teased all of the above in their latest preview, offering a glimpse of what 2014 is offering subscribers.

While pirate drama Black Sails has wrapped up for the season, Da Vinci's Demons is underway. And as mentioned, we have Ronald D. Moore's small screen adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series to anticipate. Fans of the books and anyone with an appetite for Scotland-set period dramas are likely eager to glimpse new footage from the new series. The footage of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) saying her name was featured in the first trailer for the series, but I think this is the first time we're seeing the gallant Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) at knife-point...

Still no premiere date for Outlander yet. Wouldn't it be great if Starz set it to premiere the Saturday after Da Vinci's Demons wrapped up? That would be May 31, which seems like it'd be too soon considering the date has yet to be announced. But we can still hope. Get more info on the plot for Outlander here!

Also teased in the preview is Starz's new drama from Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Power, which is also due to arrive this Summer:

Power stars Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, NAturi Naughton, 50 Cent, Joseph Sikora and Adam Huss and centers on James "Ghost" St. patrick, a wealthy up-and-coming nightclub owner who's looking to distance himself from the lucrative drug network of which he's a part.

Here's the preview for the next new episode of Da Vinci's Demons ("The Ends of the Earth"), which airs Saturday night on Starz:

And though Black Sails has wrapped up its first season, it's well worth noting that the series' excellent theme song was done by Bear McCreary, the musical mastermind behind Da Vinci's Demons' score, and coming soon, Outlander.

I canna wait to hear what he does with the music for Outlander! (And I know I wouldn't complain if Starz were to give us an early preview of the opening theme ahead of the series premiere...)
