TV Powers

Powers Has Been Renewed For Season 2
Just a couple of months ago, PlayStation got into the scripted programming game with Powers, a streaming adaptation of the Marvel comic series of the same name. Now, the show has already been renewed.
Sharlto Copley And Michelle Forbes To Go All Superhero For PlayStation Network's Powers
Copley and The Killing’s Emmy-nominated actress Michelle Forbes have both signed on to join the impressive cast of Powers, the comic book adaptation coming to PlayStation Network later this year. Part of me wishes Copley’s batshit Elysium antagonist Kruger could also exist in the Powers world, as well as all other movies.
Powers Adaptation Finds First Director In Twilight: Eclipse's David Slade
As well as directing, Slade will executive produce the first two episodes. Novelist and comic scribe Charlie Huston will be writing those same two episodes.
Superhero Noir Comic Powers Coming To Playstation Network In December
At this year’s E3, Sony not only announced the PlayStation TV is possibly coming to the U.S. this year, but they also revealed a December release window for Powers, their previously announced adaptation of the hugely popular superpowered comic series from Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming.
FX May Reshoot Powers Pilot
I'd pretty much written Powers off as dead. Now, however, there seems to be a spark or two in the darkness, because according to FX president John Landgraf, Powers may still have a chance.
FX Dumps Outlaw Country, Will Retool Powers Pilot
FX has passed on the Nashville-set drama Outlaw Country, but they are retooling Powers, based on the long-running comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.
FX Orders More Wilfred And It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Louie isn’t the only show with good news. It’s been announced today that FX has renewed their new comedy series Wilfred for a second season. There’s also big cause to celebrate for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
FX's Powers Enlists Titus Welliver As Triphammer
Titus Welliver is a great character actor. In fact, it's an odd coincidence to be reporting this casting news not long after HBO's Game of Thrones made a few announcements of their own because we always imagined Welliver as the perfect Stannis Baratheon. Well, it looks like we're stuck with Stephen Dillane for Stannis, it could be far worse, and instead we'll find our Titus Welliver fix on FX in their adaptation of Powers.
Jason Patric To Star In FX's Powers
Just yesterday, news broke that Lucy Punch was set to play the female lead in the FX pilot Powers. Today, we learn who will be starring opposite her in the procedural. Word is, Lost Boys star Jason Patric has been signed on for the male lead.
Lucy Punch Signed On To Star In FX's Powers
FX’s upcoming series Powers has its female lead. Word is, Lucy Punch (The Class) is signed on to play the role of Deena Pilgrim in the series, which is based on a graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.
FX Gives Pilot Order To Superhero Themed Powers
Charles H. Eglee, executive producer of The Walking Dead, has penned a screenplay that will be directed by Michael Dinner. It follows two homicide detectives charged with confronting any problems related to the so-called powers
Journeyman's Kevin Falls Helping FX With Powers
It seems like forever that we've been hearing about a Powers TV series from FX. With the comic relaunching from Marvel Comics, it's about time we got an update. And it looks like a good one. FX President John Landgraf revealed that Kevin Falls (Journeyman) has been working with creator Brian Michael Bendis on the pilot script
