The Gotham Knight Gets A Trailer

While Iron Man is currently getting everyone’s attention in the super-hero movie world, let’s not forget about The Dark Knight which isn’t too far behind. Even better, the Batman Begins sequel has a considerable franchise surrounding it, adding to an already-existing movie storyline, which is giving Warner Brothers a chance at a little more money making.

In case you haven’t seen us report on it before, The Dark Knight takes place a little after Batman Begins, so the studio is filling in the gaps with an Animatrix style DVD release: Batman: Gotham Knight. Made up of six separate vignettes, the animated feature bridges the gap between movies, exploring Bruce Wayne’s transformation into Batman a little more thoroughly. The movie features the constant voice of Batman in animated form, Kevin Conroy to tie the vignettes together.

We’ve seen images released from the upcoming release, but now we finally get a chance to see the Dark Knight in action with a trailer for Batman: Gotham Knight. The result really shows the variety of visual styles the movie will contain. It might even make me a little more excited about the Batman summer that’s coming.

Check out the trailer over at Yahoo! Movies. Batman: Gotham Knight comes to DVD and Blu-ray on July 8th.
