World Of Warcraft's Newest Charity Pet Has Been Revealed
During this year's BlizzCon in Anaheim, California the company announced that they have a brand new pet set to arrive in the MMORPG, World of Warcraft. Blizzard Entertainment revealed the new charity pet as part of their annual charity drive for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
According to Gamespot the new pet that Blizzard Entertainment will introduce into World of Warcraft for charity purposes will be Mischief the Fel Kitty, yes... it's a Fel magic kitten. The Fel Kitty will be available starting December 1st, and the proceeds will go toward the Make-A-Wish foundation.
The kitten will be purchasable through the World of Warcraft cash shop. However, Gamespot notes tat a price for Mischief the Fel Kitty was not listed, so you'll likely have to wait until next month when the kitten becomes available to get a final price on the pet.
They'll likely gather up a lot of support for the move to have Mischief available for purchase, given that the kitten has a magic-imbued look to it, with big green glowing eyes, and fel symbols across its crest and body.
The Fel magic is part of the chaotic energy force that powers the deadly magic used in the game by the Horde. It's very similar to the Chaos magic utilized in Games Workshop's Warhammer franchise. The big difference is that Fel magic can be utilized in a physical form through green goo, as opposed to being an energy force that can be harnessed through technology like in Warhammer.
They don't mention if the new World of Warcraft charity pet will have any special abilities or magical powers, but I'm sure some people probably won't even care about what sort of abilities the pet has, just so long as they get their hands on Mischief.
In previous years Blizzard had other charity pets and mounts available exclusively from the Battle.net shop. Some of these pets and mounts included things like the Enchanted Fey Dragon, which allow you to take to the skies of Azeroth in style.

Another charity pet included Alterac Brew Up, which was based on a St. Bernard dog, featuring a color with a keg around it and brewed ale in cups latched onto side harnesses.
Blizzard would take 50% of the $10 pet or mount purchase in World of Warcraft and put it toward the Make-A-Wish foundation. They also gathered and used funds to help the Red Cross during the typhoon relief back in 2013, when Typhoon Haiyan hit the region hard.
The company has been using the charity funds for a while now, and many of the pets are made to be adorable and highly coveted, such as last year's charity pet, which was the pudgy little Brightpaw- a glowing purple pet with bright yellow eyes. Unlike the charity event from a few years back, the Brightpaw purchases in World of Warcraft saw all 100% of the proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.
I'm sure given the design of the kitty and the fact that the internet is in love with cats, it stands to reason that the Mischief the Fel Kitty will be quite popular on Blizzard's cash shop. You can look for the little pet to go live as part of their charity drive starting December 1st.
