Aliens: Colonial Marines Wii U Version Is The Worst, Says Sega Tester

Wow, things just keep getting worse and worse for Aliens: Colonial Marines. New information has surfaced from a confirmed Sega of Europe tester who managed to get hands-on time with the Wii U version of the game and according to the tester the Wii U version is the worst of all the versions for a number of reasons.

DSO Gaming managed to grab the quotes before they were taken down from Reddit, where the anonymous tester came forward to clear up a few things regarding troubled production of Aliens: Colonial Marines where he states that Sega was warned multiple times by testers that the game was not ready for release and sucked pretty bad...

“Oh wow. Yes okay. I was hoping someone would ask this. I have played the WiiU version. The one that is supposedly the best of all of them? It is not. It is the worst. It is a bit of a joke. The WiiU is basically the same game as the console version but with framerate issues, worse texture loading, and horrendously misguided minigames thrown in. You get a ‘scanner’ to scan enemies and get bonus points that aid your harming them. When you cut open doors (which happens a lot in the game) you have a game where you have to keep the heat ‘optimal’. They just add frustration, and take away even more from the fun. We don’t know if it will come out, Sega are conisdering canceling it, but right now its still going.”

Rumors began circulating that the Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines was the definitive version, having better graphics and playability than its console and PC counterparts. However, according to the tester, that wasn't the case at all.

Reddit moderators verified the identity of the tester and after answering a few questions the tester's Reddit account was deleted along with all of their responses. Thankfully DSO Gaming managed to nab them before it all went belly-up, in which they suspect that Sega and/or Gearbox figured out who the tester was and hit him with some legal threats to shut him up.

The tester also claimed that the money Sega paid to Gearbox working on Aliens: Colonial Marines was used for Borderlands 2 instead.

Anyway, Sega did confirm that the Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines was not canceled. So now it's a matter of questioning whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, especially based on the account of the information released above.
