Namco Bandai sent out word today that FromSoftware's latest robot-mech, action game, Armored Core V, is currently available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 at local retailers in North America.

Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, Namco Bandai Games America commented in the press release, saying...
“With a greater focus on multiplayer, ARMORED CORE V adds a new layer of replayability and mech mayhem for gamers,” ... “Using highly customized mechs, friends can now team up and defend their territories from opposing Armored Cores, making for some intense battles in the war-torn environment.”

This is one of those rare games where the focus on multiplayer is not a bad thing at all given that much of what could already be done in the single-player campaign has already been explored in previous games. Adding additional multiplayer features, including cooperative mechanics for a semi-tower defense type of gameplay style is kind of a cool addition to the series. There's also the 10-player competitive multiplayer modes that is bound to keep gamers from trading the game in to GameStop for at least three months.

And as for that customization that Choi brings up, the game will sport more than 500 different parts for modifying, upgrading and personalizing your mech just the way you like.

You can look for Armored Core V on the shelf of your local retailer for the Xbox 360 or PS3 for $59.99. For more information feel free to visit the Official Website.
