Assetto Corsa Vs Project CARS: Trailer Showdown

Two new promotional trailers for two new games have been making the rounds and quite naturally, given that both games are set for release in 2013 and both games are aiming to set the visual and physics benchmarks in simulation racing, it only makes sense to compare both games in a trailer showdown!

I'm not going to waste a lot of words on this but instead I'll simply set each trailer up: The first trailer is from Kunos Simulazioni and it features in-game, unmodified gameplay footage of their upcoming game Assetto Corsa. It's a DirectX 11 native game being made exclusively for PC. It's utilizing the latest in racing simulation physics. The trailer pays tribute to the Ferrari 458 Italia.

The next trailer is for Slightly Mad Studios' upcoming racer, Project CARS. The game is also a DirectX 11 native title, however it will be ported to multiple platforms, including the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U, in addition to being on PC (which is the lead platform). The footage below is DirectX 11 footage from the latest PC build of the game. The title focuses a lot on community support and varying racing scenarios and locations, much like Gran Turismo. The trailer is a tribute to the Pagani Huayra.

So after watching both trailers, which one gets your gears ready to grind and your tires ready to burn: Assetto Corsa or Project CARS?
