Avalanche Studios hasn't really shied away from the spotlight regarding news and hints at their possible next-gen endeavors. Well, things heat up a bit more as the company is looking to hire someone to design and test vehicles for a next-gen open-world game that has physics and destruction that hasn't been done in any other open-world game to date. Seems legit.

The news comes courtesy of Now Gamer who spotted the job listing on Gamasutra, amidst the employment lingo is some rather explicit descriptions on what the upcoming game will feature and what the job is of the vehicle designer, stating...
Our vision is focused on player satisfaction and on innovation – our plan is to deliver stunning vehicles in terms of handling, physics simulation and destruction rendition. Something no open world to date has yet achieved. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, constantly interacting with programmers, artists, and other designers.

Notice that Avalanche Studios is developing for both current and next gen platforms; if you think you have the skills and you want to innovate in the field of vehicle design, this is the opportunity for you.

Speculation has already run rampant that by “next-gen” Avalanche is referring to the Wii U, however, previous news about their next-gen development lends itself in the opposite direction. Given that a Just Cause: Scorpion Rising movie is in the works and set for release in 2014, the news also points to a game releasing within that window as well.

Avalanche Studios has teased many times that they are working on next-gen projects for Microsoft and Sony's newest systems, a game and movie launching in 2014 kind of verifies that Just Cause 3 will likely release for the Xbox 720 and PS4 but at the same time it will probably have an “old-gen” counterpart available for the Xbox 360 and PS3, similar to what they did with the original Just Cause, which launched for the PS2, PC, Xbox and Xbox 360.

Nevertheless, there's no confirmation that the job listing is specifically for Just Cause 3 and it's basically all speculation at this point until we get actual confirmation from Avalanche Studios.
